Day 95 - Way 95

Perhaps it's technology, but I believe it's a miracle that a mothers intuition can span the globe and even go beyond time zones. Today, I was having a pretty good time celebrating the 4th of July through a spirit of service. I volunteer in the East Mill Creek Lions Club and for our 4th of July Family Celebration, I had a whole lot of work to do. During the day, I checked my phone pretty frequently, and I had no new emails all morning. Then suddenly I received an email from my mother in the middle of the day. She reminded me of something really important and helped me to be patient in a difficult moment at the park that occured about 3 minutes after I read her email. I believe that her intuition told her to write me when she did, so I could read the email when I really needed it. Thank you mom for the reminder!

Today was a bad/really good day. I have put off writing about it because it is complicated. Let me simplify it.

We went in the morning to go to Winter Park downtown for a 4th of July celebration. I had a hot dog and watched clogging and then we went to an art museum. Then we went to go and eat. We ate at Johnny Rockets, Tony's favorite place. For the record, I only wanted to eat there for Tony and a burger.

These cute guys were in there so Tony was teasing me about them. So, we kept looking at them. Well they apparently lost something. We left there and went to the video game store and then the gas station. Then we went to the bus stop to go to a party in Sanford but then it was late and the bus had bikes on it already so we decided to go downtown. On our way downtown we stopped at the grocery store and saw the cute guys again so Tony was teasing me again. Then we saw them following us twice as we were riding our bikes downtown.

Then we went to the dollar store to look for a blanket to take downtown for the fireworks. We never use cash but this day we did because we wanted to get cotton candy and that has to be purchased with cash. In the dollar store, I was approached by a cop and told to go outside. He said that we were being investigated for the THEFT OF A WALLET!!!!! Those guys followed us and called the cops on us because they thought we stole their wallet. We ended up being let go and hour and a half later but we had to deal with this and on top of that, there were 5 cops, countless customers and these two guys that thought that we took this wallet. I was SO MAD! I don't want to wait until these people die for them to realize that I would NEVER do something like that. I can't even begin to tell you how mad it makes me.

I guess the miracle and blessing is that we were let go because we were innocent but I still hate that my name was taken through the mud like that!

Whew.

We ended up watching fireworks through half of a tree and there were too many people there but Tony and I had a nice bike ride home under the moonlight together. I ended up accomplishing my goal of finding a flag pin and it worked out well because the proceeds went to folks in the military. That made me happy at least.
