Day 1 - Way 1

My brother Arthur Jr. was injured while snowboarding this weekend. He, for lack of a better word, "broke" his shoulder. At the Park City Mt. Resort Clinic, the doctor told him that his injury could require surgery and that he would need 12 weeks to recover. Today he went to an orthopaedic specialist to find out if he would need surgery and the doctor told him that he has never seen someone heal from that type of injury so quickly. He will have probably two more weeks of limited mobility of his shoulder and then he will need physical therapy, but that is it. I know this to be a blessing and miracle of his faith and my parents service.

Today was also a beautiful day, we woke up to about 6 inches of fresh clean snow and beautiful blue skies! What a blessing to see the earth washed clean. The trees and flowers are beginning to blossom and bloom, and there are also birds chirping in the trees.

What's the plan?

My goal for this blog is to write every day that my parents are serving their Mission to Fukuoka Japan for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are serving for a period of 23 months, which basically is 700 days.

I believe that because of their service my family will be blessed with opportunities, blessings and miracles. I would like to use this blog to record at least one of these things every day.

Some days there may only be one thing to say, but other days I believe may produce much longer posts.

I hope that this blog will serve as a journal for myself and a record of the things that happen at home for my parents to read while they are away.
